Current Slide Properties do not save automatically on close as expected

6/11/2014
Symptom:
In SSP 8, the current Slide Properties will not auto save when the application is closed as expected.

Possible Cause:
This appears to be caused by the prior installation of an older version of SSP 7. This is causing SSP 8 to look in the wrong place for these files. This will typically only occur if the user has not allowed SSP 8 to "take control" of the SSP files.

Possible Solution:
When launching SSP 8 the user is prompted that there appears that an older version of SSP is using the data files. Click YES to continue. Then the user is prompted regarding if the files are still being used by the older version of SSP. Here the user should select No to allow SSP 8 to function properly.

Note: This will not prevent the user from continuing to use SSP 7 if desired. If SSP 7 is launched it will simply prompt that a newer version of SSP is also using the files and that newer files may not be readable by this version (SSP 7).

Reminder - SSP 8 files are not backwards compatible with SSP 7.

The database folders are not changed in any way and nothing else should change about the function of SSP 7.
