I would like to see a flashing animation. We could adjust the
speed and duration of the flashing. Picture a slide with "Coming
Soon!" flashing before or while the details are displayed. I'd
probably try to over use it in the pre service slide show.
What other animations should SSP have?

I would love to see a variety of new animations for slide show objects. For example, maybe a bounce in, or a typewriter-like entrance with the ability to control if a text box comes in by letter or word. Or how about a 3D rotation of an item?
Thanks!

Actually, the new Animations 1 ProModule has 3D animations including rotation.

Animations 1 is slated for version 7.
See Doug's SSplog entry.
I don't think it will appear in 5.5
The question is, will these be entrance animations, only? Or will there be emphasis & exit animations as well?

Althought the RME supports entrance and exit animations, SSP still has yet to catch up to that capability. However, this feature is slated to be included in as one of the V7 evolutions. The question is, will these be entrance animations, only? Or will there be emphasis & exit animations as well?

I'm new to this - the question I have has more to do with a different kind of animation. I am interested in being able to add an animated GIF to a SSP Slideshow. Can it be done? If so, how.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hmm, I know it's been a few months....
This may be "way outta there" but I always thought it could be cool.
If the text itself (rather than a whole slide) could animate. Like between changing text, the current text could explode into tiny pieces and pull back together to form the next set of text, or ripple and transform, or have random letters zing in from all different directions yet forming the text. I know, sorta sounds like powerpoint, only maybe a bit more high-tech?
Or even if the letters grew bright and had rays of light shine through it (like Trapcode's Shine effect).
Again, probably very far-fetched. but ah....
