I recently posted a blog about continued support for DirectX 8 hardware in SSP. We welcome any feedback you may have on this topic.

Do you want comments here or in your blog?

You now sell 2 products, basic and professional. Why not make DirectX 9 a requirement for the professional level product and allow older, back level, machines to run the basic product?

Just a thought.

I think it is time to up the platform. with vista out the door, and DX already at 10 I think it will be easier to say goodby to 8. DX 8 cards did not come in PCIe and with all new computers coming with PCIe or AGP 8X getting up to DX9 is not an issue. There are plenty of graphic cards that are low priced and good DX9 support, that version 8 really makes no sense. i believe it will be in the customers interest to upgrade to version 9 as they will be able to utilize the full features and functions of SSP7.
