Version 8.4 > Song notes only on Stage Display?

I'm looking for a way to add notes which only show in the stage display.
For example: a chorus has the same two lines repeating three times. I'd like to just put the two lines up one time, not three times, or with page breaks. Instead, I'd like to put a (x3) which only shows on the stage display.
I know it's a known issue that when a fade transition is set, going from one page to another with identical content, the text fades out a tiny bit before reappearing.
Ideas?
