Version 8.1 > Lower Third setup problem

When I try to use the lower third option to display a scripture over live video the lower third area is not transparent and displays black. I've tried to get rid of this and I'm sure it's something simple. Please help.

When you set the background for the lower third margin make sure the Base Color layer is transparent as well.
If you can't find this or it does not resolve the issue, contact the support team to do a remote and take a look at your settings.
Also make sure you don't have another setting overriding the place you are setting this.
