Version 8.1 > sspbak ssbbak file assiociation

Waaaaay back with SSP 8.0 (and previous), I could double click on a ssbbak or sspbak file and have it unpack. Now that I've uninstalled SSP 8.0 and am running 8.1 exclusively, Windows has no idea what to do with those files.

Is there any way I can fix this in windows? I've tried associating them with SSP.exe and that doesn't work.

Thanks.

Have you tried running the 8.1 installer to restore file associations?

I don't remember this happening when uninstalling SSP7, so they may have to modify the 'uninstaller' to leave those file associations alone if a newer version is detected.

8.x doesn't set up any file associations. You can manually do this if you want, but the program to use is Backup.exe in the Ssp bin folder. But keep in mind that when you install the next upgrade (8.2, for instance) the shell will still be pointed at the 8.1 instance of Backup.

Thanks.

Does that backup.exe work for sspbak and ssbbak?
