When editing a song the edit window states "Press Ctrl-Enter to add page-break marker".  I have tried this multiple times and if it works it doesn't do what I want it to do. I tried in the November version and now in the April version.  When I do Ctrl-Enter i get a "¶" (paragraph) symbol but when i display the song in SSP it shows all of the text on one screen.

I expected this to break the verse or chorus into multiple screens.

Am I not doing something right or not understanding the feature correctly?

You need to go into the display properties. On the second tab down (song display properties or something like that), go to the second tab over from the left. On the bottom of that box is a drop down selection that defaults to verse at at time. You need to drop that down and select page at a time.

Sorry, I can't be more specific. I don't have SSP in front of me here.

I've changed our global display properties to reflect this change. That's helped a lot.

This is a good suggestion and is what we have done. Whenever you enter some page break symbols this will perform the actual paging for you. On the other hand, if your song is without page breaks this setting still lets the system work normally.

Tried it last night and it worked great on The Star Spangled Banner (like 12 lines per verse).

Just to clarify my previous ambigous instructions.

1) Open up the display settings for the song.
2) Click on Song Layout so that is is checked on
3) In Song Layout, select the Lyrics tab
4) At the bottom of the Lyrics tab is a drop down box marked Display Words
5) Set the Display Words dropdown to Page-by-Page for the page breaks to be in effect.

THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!  I updated my Songsow plus last week and it changed about half of my songs back to verse-by-verse.  You can imagine what some of the songs looked like.  When I read you solution, it triggered my memory about the page-by-page setting.  I thank you so much.
