Latest News > September 2009 Edition Released

I had the latest beta installed, and when I check for updates, SSP say there aren't any.

I notice that the publish date is the same for the last beta & the final edition -- could that be the problem?

They're the same: The 9/23/2009 build.

Thanks. I wondered if that was the case.

I have the 9/23/2009 Beta Build and get the same "...no updates available..." dialog box. If I cannot "update", then will I still have to close Online Bible as a separate process? I thought when you compile the production updates, it corrects this OLB issue...
Thanks,
Thanks,

I have checked this on several systems and it seems to be behaving as expected - closing OLB when SSP is closed - so you should not have to close OLB separately from SSP.
If you are consistently having this issue contact the support team so they can take a look and gather some info. Make sure you let them know what version of OLB you are using and what setting you may have in OLB.
It looks like there is a thread in the main section if you want to get input from other users on this...

when will there be a release for the song bulder that will allow you to view the changes made ie: fonts , background images, etc withhout having to save the song then prieview it on the screen and then go back into editing of the song to make the changes and repeat the whole process? I know a song can be built and saved as a slide show for editing and viewing but some of this is done on the fly and it is easier to stay in the song listsit.

You should be able to click Apply and do that now. In fact, you can check the checkbox in the apply button and have it happen pretty dynamically.

I think he is referring to the song edit window. I too would like to be able to have at least an Apply button to prevent having to re-opening the edit song multiple times.

You are correct Gary. Most of the editing I do is in the song program side. This is so i can build keep the fonts asnd backgrounds, etc.and then move onto the next song. I have a thousand+ songs that i have been working on and to apply in song edit window would really help.. I did know that you can edit the properties when you move it to the program list or edit the properties after the song is moved and then click copy and go back to the song edit side pull up the properties of the song and tell it to save all. This works but it seems to add extra steps.
