Version 8.1 > Environmental projection effects

We're experimenting with environmental projection at the moment, and one thing I'd like to be able to do is put effects on the environmental projection display - eg flip (or blur/alter colour or whatever).

Is this possible? I can't seem to make it work by setting display properties on the environmental projection display.

We've figured out a workaround which works for us for songs as long as we use background improv all the time:
1) Don't set up environmental projection
2) Set the song display properties for the "environmental display" to not display lyrics/titles/etc (in Song Layout properties) and background improv background with the appropriate effects on
3) Display any old song on the "environmental projection display".

As it's not displaying the song, it just displays the background improv background with the desired effects. If we switch the background improv, then that switches on the primary display and the "environmental display" at the same time.

(If you wish, you can set up different 'songs' with different effects to be used on the "environmental display").

At this time, what is sent to the environmental projection output is a mirror of the media item's background. There is no option to modify this in any way. We've considered some options to provide the capabilities you've requested since that would be helpful. In helping us determine please describe in a bit more detail what you would like to do with the environmental projection background. For instance, do you simply want to apply different effects to it or do you want a completely different background altogether. What effects do you want to use and why? Will a single set of independent settings be set on a per media item basis, or be applied to all media items presented?
