Version 9.3 > Two different blank slides in verse order
Is there a way to have two different blank slides in the verse order? Like Blank1 and Blank2 each having something different on them.
Blank slides are supposed to be blank, i.e., no text. You can use them as many times as you want for a song, but they all look the same because they have the same background and no text.
Are you just trying to have two 'different' backgrounds on blank slides in one song? If so, you could simply convert the song to a slide show and then you have complete control over text, background,
fonts, slide arrangement, etc.
The other option might be to split the song into separate parts (name1, name2, etc.), and one or more of the "songs" could be a blank slide different from the blanks in the other "songs."
IF you are looking to insert some text on the "blank" slide, you can add additional song parts and put them in the verse order.
If you are looking for a difference background, you'll have to convert the song to a slide show and edit the backgrounds from there.
In the rare occasion that I need to change the format (background, font, etc.) in the middle of a song, I just add the song 2 or 3 times, as needed, and format each as desired. A few times I have needed a special slide and I just made it up as a song with whatever format I wanted. If I need the background, font, etc. to always be the same, I edit them in individual properties. The hierarchy of properties can be quite useful in that regard. I list them below since not everyone is aware of them.
Taking “Song Text Style” as the example, there seems to be at least six ways of setting it:
(1) Top Menu/All Media,
(2) Top Menu/Songs,
(3) Program Panel/Insert Properties for/All Media,
(4) Program Panel/Insert Properties for/Songs,
(5) Rt-click Song/Slide Properties,
(6) Rt-click Song/Edit/Slide Properties
Note that 1 & 2 give identical results, as do 3 & 4, and 5 & 6. So 5&6 take priority over 3&4 which take priority over 1&2.
