Word of warning.
A recent MS Windows Update (kb971486) is causing Windows BSOD, with a stop code of 0x0000007E (0x80000003, 0x805c49B8, 0xF794E3B4, 0xF794DFB0).
In all my years of fixing BSODs, this is the first time that every single character in the stop code matched the BSOD that I was fixing. Below is the fix that I found by mrackbar.
boot off your windows xp cd
press r for recovery console
select your windows install (1 in my case)
enter your administrator password
when at the c:\windows prompt enter:
cd $ntuninstallkb971486$ 'enter key'
cd spuninst 'enter key'
batch spuninst.txt 'enter key'
it will run some commands
exit
reboot

Is this the TDI BSOD?

I am not sure. I have not heard it referred to as TDI BSOD. Fortunately I have a gas Rabbit, so I won't have to worry about that BSOD.

On topic. This is a couple of months old, and the website that had the fix for this has not had any posts for a while, so it appears to have been resolved.
