I can't check from here, but does the new version scale the mobile control for 7 inch tablets? I'm thinking of the stage monitor display.

I believe mobile control and the stage monitor feature are not yet working in SSP8. Mobile control behaves like it's working, but you can't connect to the server from your devices. As I understand it, both features should be working in a future build.

Mobile Control has been fixed in Version 8 but after re-reading your questions I am not sure that fully answers it...
You were asking about scaling to 7 inch tablets and this in particular would not be a Version 8 question but a Mobile Control question....
The apps should scale to the device they are on though we can't test *every* device. If you are having issues on scaling in particular with the current release, you should contact the support team to investigate.
