I just installed SSP8 on a workstation, and the database is pointing to a local directory on the computer, instead of to our networked data. The "Data Files Setup" utility doesn't appear to be installed with SSP8. Is there a way to change the location?

As you stated, that option is not currently available but should be addressed later.  I am not aware of a work around at this time but will update if one becomes available.

I found a (REALLY ugly) workaround for this. Install SSP7 and run the Data Files Setup from the utilities. SSP8 will pick up the new data location. Unfortunately, subsequently uninstalling SSP7 will cause SSP8 to revert to the original (local) database.
