Version 7 > SSP Integration with music/service planning software?

Hey Everybody

Hope this is the right place to put this.  Looking for info on experiences integrating SSP with any of the worship planning software programs out there, and recommendations to ones that would be a good fit.  The most popular product seems to be Planning Center Online  - but, while it apparently has a lot of nice features, it seems to me that it just duplicates a lot of what SSP does, which tells me maybe it doesn't integrate well with SSP . . .  and it's pretty expensive.  So wondering if any of you have used/are using PCO, and what you think?  Or are there other options?

We're currently getting lyrics and chords from CCLI SongSelect, and it works great for downloading songs into SSP, too, but the musicians are not at all happy with the CCLI chord and lead sheets . . .  a lot of added or wrong chords, and chords in the wrong places.  Also, the option to get harmony sheets through SongSelect is available only through upgrade to a more expensive subscription.  Ideally we're looking for something that will provide lyrics, lead and chord sheets, and harmony sheets - as well as something that will schedule and notify at least the music team members, if not all the volunteers on all the different teams within the church.  I did a Google search and found a lot of things out there - but it wasn't always clear what options they provided and, of course, nothing's likely to specifically say it interfaces great with SSP!  So what do you guys think?

Thanks and God Bless

I know that there are some other open source versions out there, but I am not at all sure how well they work with SSP.

Thanks for your reply. So, do you (or anybody else) know whether Planning Center online integrates at all with SSP? And, if so, how?

I have no seen any such integration with such software on any of the SSP Feature Matrix's.

We use Planning Center Onine (for about 8 months now) and there is integration between CCLI and PCO (you can download songs/song info from CCLI to PCO), but have seen no further intergration with any other program from the PCO side. You can "upload" people/contact information via *.csv (comma separated values) files (exports from Excel), but there is no capability like that for songs.

Good idea though!

ProPresenter has had a degree of integration for some time. MediaShout has just announced that their current beta has PCO integration. http://support.mediashout.com/entries/21144368-adding-song-lyrics-with-planning-center-online. We have way too much time and training invested in SSP to make a switch, but .... just sayin'! Anything in the works SSP?

Our worship teams (multiple) use Worshipteam.com to create and post their sets. Today I open both WT and SSP and do a copy and paste of any new songs that don't already exist in our SSP database. Once I tried using a download script from WT to SSP but it ended up duplicating the songs that were already in the SSP database. If there was tighter integration, I would try using that feature again

Hi Doug.

Any more news on the integration of Planning Center Online with SSP7? We've been using PCO for about 6 months now and it would be great if it integrated withh SSP7 like it integrates with ProPresenter and the other presentation software.

It's in the works, but no delivery date at this time.

The sooner SongShow integrates with Planning Center Online the better. Our worship leader really thinks he needs this and is pushing to switch to Mac/PP if it doesn't become available soon.

This feature is in development at this time. Slated for release sometime later this fall.

Good to hear. I am also getting pressured to move to PCO Projector.

Great news. Integrating Planning center will be beneficial for our team. I just looked at PCO projector after the software was mentioned in the thread. I was not aware of the projection software. It seems very limited and just displays lyrics with backgrounds like Power Point. Well, with planning center online integration. We love SSP. thanks.

We're getting similar pressure to integrate woth PCO.

I have tried to explain that the songs "off the shelf" from CCLI always need minor adjustments, which are stored in SSP.

Looking forward to it...
