Version 8.0 > Native song database broken in 8,8,13 version

I initially installed v8 in June and it was working OK
After I updated to 31.7.13 version it would not startup. Halfway through the startup sequence it started a database rebiold then just stopped at about 60% through the progress bar.
I updated to v 8.8.13 tonight and it starts fine now but cannot access any songs in my database.
If I click on any letter of the alphabet to view songs, it does a DB rebuild then reports an unexpected error.
Version 7 still works fine on my PC fortunately as does the song DB.

It is possible that there is a corrupted song file.
Run the Tools > Database Utilities > SongShow Plus > Fix-up Song Titles tool and see if that resolves that issue. Let me know if it does not.

I have already done that. Tried it both in v7 and v8. Did not help.
