Hey, is there any way you can import a powerpoint presentation, and be able to control it w/ a remote??  like switch slides from one to next, go back if needed??  i have a remote that moves the mouse cursor around, and it has arrows and many many functions.. how can i apply it to work w/ SSP ??

Check this thread about using a standard remote with SSP.

The other option I know of is the GFMACC1 - SSP Remote from GoFishMedia.net. They will preconfigure it to work with SSP.

and it works fine for us.... Good range too.

After noticing that the gofishmedia seemed to be an unbranded SMK-Link VP4910 RemotePoint Jade, I picked one up at Amazon for $120 hoping that it would be just as programmable. It is, you can program page-up and page-down to the 4 buttons! You can't seem to program the left or right on the ring, but finding a remote that works without jerry-rigging is nice.

I also like the super bright green light (way brighter than our old red laser). I personally like the larger size and the fact that it takes AA batteries, but you might like small ones. It's about the size of a regular candybar--definately smaller than a wii-remote. 150' range suposively. It has a built in mouse stick thingie.

Also once you download the software from their site and program the remote, you don't need the software anymore. The usb dongle remembers the settings so you can plug it into any computer and it will work the way you expect it to.

If you could program the left and right on the circle to pageup and pagedown, I would call this perfect. But, I still really like it.

I don't know if the other smk-link interlink remotes are just as programmable, but the remotepoint emerald uses the same programming software. It is smaller, and you can seem to program the ring. It doesn't have quite the same features (no mouse stick thing), and it has a 100' range instead of 150', but if you just want sleeker... I haven't used the emerald so I can't guaruntee it works as well, but it looks like it would.
