Version 8.5 > Default transition in all directiions

One of the most irritating changes made a few years back was that
the default transition (.7s fade for me) only works when progressing
forward through the program. We usually are moving from scripture
to slide show and back again over and over. When I go back to the
previous slide from a scripture verse there is no fade, just an abrupt
(and I believe, distracting) change. Requesting the ability to have the
default transition apply in all circumstances (forward and back) hasn't
received any results. So. I wonder if anyone has found a "work around?"
Changing the transitions within the slide show itself doesn't make a
difference.
