Version 8.0 > SongSelect Import grabs wrong CCLI numbers
10/6/2013 6:49:58 AM
Hello all,
This morning I was importing two songs from SongSelect Online into SSP8. The new tool is certainly slick, a welcome change from the browser-based interface of V7. However, when I import a song, it makes our church CCLI license number the CCLI song ID. It says the song numbers are "0". This is in V8 9/27/13 build. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mike

This is also happening in the 10/4/2013 build.

Mike,
I just did a couple of imports myself and am seeing what you are describing. It appear that this is being populated in the importer but it is unclear if this is expected. I compared this to SSP 7 and it does appear to list the License number but it is the song number that is imported.
I will check on this.
Thanks for the info.

Thanks for looking into it George.

This is unrelated to the incorrect CCLI number, but it is related to the import tool so I'll put it here. When downloading a new song, most song parts aside from Chorus and Verse show up as Misc1, Misc2 etc. At the top of the text you'll see (Bridge) and then the song-part text. However, the label within SSP becomes Misc. Maybe another wrinkle to iron out?

Two questions Mike.
1. Is this different behavior that in SSP 7?
2. Can you provide a few example songs? Please provide title and CCLI number so I know I have the right one when testing.

I've seen a few hiccups in SSP 7 where one verse or chorus was misnamed. I'm pretty sure it was a bad USR file from CCLI. The song part name was what should have been the first line of the song part.

Hi George. I thought for sure I had replied to this many weeks ago. I apologize for taking so long to get back to you. This behavior is different from SSP 7.
Here are a few that I just picked at random to see if they worked. All of them grab our license number instead of the actual CCLI song ID.
1.) CCLI# 6016351 - 10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)
2.)#5639997 - Forever Reign
3.) #2650364 - Hungry
The import utility actually shows in the song data that the number will be wrong, indicating the song ID as "0".
Again, sorry for the delay on my part.

Ok, you can disregard all of that previous message. I installed the 11/13/2013 build and the problem has been solved. Thanks guys.
