We have had a few reports of the following error occurring when trying to activate SSP 8 either as projection or workstation.



This license is not in an expected state (4)



We have been able to replicate this behavior.  It only seems to affect certain accounts and we are investigating a solution.  If you do get this error please let us know as your particular account info may help uncover the root cause.



UPDATE:

We do have a correction for this issue but it will be applied on a case-by-case basis until a global correction can be deployed.



If you encounter this error, please email the support email in the error message with the following info:



organization name

SSP ID



From this I can look up the info necessary to correct the issue for you.

This activation error message is also happening when we try to active both our PC's.



Customer ID:  4960-826

Subscription status: Active through 9/2014   

Total Licenses: 2

·         SJBC Media 1

·         SJBC Media 2

Was able to successfully activate SJBC Media 2.



Will activate SJBC Media 1 after we have tested SSP 8 on SJBC Media 2.



If we have any issues trying to activate SJBC Media 1, we will submit another post.
