Version 7 > PowerPoint Viewer support

According to FAQ022, Powerpoint Viewer is supported. Is this supported with all the Powerpoint Plug-ins?
I recently tried to help a fellow SSP user and she had Viewer 2003 installed and she wasn't having any luck. At the time I didn't think the Viewer was supported.
Any clarification would be appreciated.

Actually the first update on January 7th 2010 states:
"With this change the PowerPoint Viewer will no longer work to present PPT files within SSP."
The PPT Viewers are no longer supported. I have updated the main post to reflect that as well.

thanks. I missed that initially, but that was my understanding. Your update is much more clear on that. 
Glad I didn't steer the other user wrong when I told her would need to buy Powerpoints to show PPT.
Fortunatly, the speaker that day had brought his laptop with powerpoint on it and was able to save his presentation as a series of JPGs, which worked just fine for them in SSP.
