We use the clock timer at the start of our contemporay services as a "Blessing Clock" and since updating to version seven I can no longer get the shadow to work no matter what I try.  Anyone got any advice?

I just recently started playing with the timers and experienced the same problem, couldn't get the shadows to show.

Also, every time I went back in to edit the timer settings, the color selection for the timer was back to 2 color, instead of the single color I had selected. So every time I tweaked the timer settings, I had to remember to reset the colors to 1 color.

There was a problem while back where timers with shadows caused SSP to lock up. The work around was to turn off shadows. SSP removed the option but didn't fully repair the problem.

I have verified both issues (two color persistence and shadow) and will make sure they are added to the bug database.

As far as a work around, I don't have one for either issue.

Well I down loaded the latest and greatest updates for SSP last night with hope the shadow on the timer would be fixed. Not only did it not work when you turn on the shawdow option the words above and below it seem to left justify and go off the screen. Hopfully this can be corrected soon.

If it's that far off, I'd call Tech Support so they can see what's up and, hopefully, be able to straighten it up for you.

A couple of points on the Timers and Shadows....

The Timer shadow should be working now...  You may not notice it as the shadow can be subtle depending on your background settings.  The Timer Shadow is a fixed color and depth at this point and the only adjustments are type (Block, Drop or none) and blur percent, which takes some of the "edge" off of the shadow.

Try this - set your background to solid white and you should be able to verify that the shadow is working.
As far as the text issue you mentioned, this is caused by the blur percentage setting and is being investigated.
The higher you set the blur percentage, the greater the text offset.  Set the blur to 1% to get minimal offset or 0% to eliminate the offset completely.

If you are still not able to get this to work as described here, contact support.
