Version 8.2 > Adding a page break to an imported song

Hi
I'm having trouble adding page breaks to songs that I have imported from SongSelect. I have no trouble doing editing on our main computer, but I can't seem to be able to do this on my laptop. The licenses and software were purchased together when the new software was launched.
I have added page breaks, in the usual way, using Ctrl and return but although the return icon appears on the screen, it doesn't seem to register, therefore making no difference. I am having to insert new slides using the copy and paste method to split long verses.
Can anyone suggest why this isn't working please?

I seem to recall a Page-by-Page setting that may need to be selected on the Laptop.

mfalk57 is correct. Set the global display settings/song layout/show to page-by-page.
