We have identified a license issue that may prevent SSP 8 from launching properly after activated.
You may get a message indicating the error Integer Overflow.
We are working on a correction for that and a new build will be available soon.

This issue should be resolved with the 1/15/2014 build.
Download and install the new package and re-activate.
