It seems that every time you install the newer version of SongShow 8, it erases all your prior settings you had made, such as Slide Properties. It would be nice if they would not be over written with default settings.

That was true from time to time during the Preview phase when there were internal changes being made to the settings mechanism. That shouldn't happen from here on out for 8.0.

Where are all the user specific setting located so they can be backed up for future use, just in case, or for transferring to a different computer.

They're stored in the user's App Data folder.
