Version 7 > Mixing still images / audio / video files in a slide show

Someone has probably answered this question before, but I haven't had luck finding the info...and I'm under a little bit of a time crunch...
I've been asked if it's possible to build a preservice slide show with a mix of still images and video clips. For example:
Welcome still image
Name tag still image
mp4 music video
Sunday/Wednesday service times still image
Skit Guys video clip
Quiet Room still image
Silly YouTube video about cats
The audio for the video clips needs to play, of course. But when the still image(s) come up, we don't want awkward silence. I need an audio file to fade in/out. If there are multiple still images in a row, I would ideally want the same audio file to continue to play from still to still, during the transition.
Is something like this possible in SSP v7?
Thanks in advance!
Diane

This is possible with SSP -- in fact this is one of the things that SSP excels at.
You will want to use Slide Show Builder and create a slide show (like a power point presentation).
In there you will want to set the timing properties (available in the 'file' pull down from the main menu) to play the slide show automatically.
The still images will be individual slides set with a duration time.
Create a separate slide for each video.. the time will be picked up from the video itself, then the slide show will advance when it gets to the end.
SSP provides the ability to stream YouTube Videos in Programs, I am not sure about Slide shows. But, though I've never had a problem, I never stream during a service; I download the video and display the video from the hard disk (assuming no copyright issues).

The thing I'm having trouble with is fading out the audio that accompanies the still images, to allow the audio from the video file to play by itself, and vice versa... What is happening is that both audio files play over top of each other. When I set an audio file up on a slide in SS, it seems to be set for the whole show...not just for the still slides. Is there a way to mute the background audio track, so the the audio from the video file(s) can be heard??

If this isn't do-able, it needs to be a wish-list item. Ideally, the option to play one audio clip under multiple still images AND/OR to also play each still image with its own audio file would be great. I could see using this option especially for youth events. Audio files would need to fade in/out so as not to sound choppy.
Anyone know if this is do-able yet?

there's no way to fade it that I know of. I've not tried the audio file on a slide, but I'm surprised it keeps playing after the show continues on to the next slide.
You may need to edit down the audio file so that itis only the same length of time that teh slide will be on the screen.

This is easy to do -- if you get someone to run the system
I spent a few minutes playing with this yesterday.. There are a couple of ways you can get the audio clip to span multiple slides
1. 1 SSB slide show with the audio spanning the entire show
2. Get the slides setup the way you want, do a screen capture of each, then build a complex slide, with audio, that uses timed entrance and exit animations for the screenshot images that would otherwise be, and will appear as, individual slides.
I stopped before I got the videos to play automatically after the multiple slides with the one audio clip. And I agree with Joel, there is no way to automatically fade the audio in a slideshow. I think, given some time, I could get everything else working, but frankly it would not be worth the time. The alternative solutions I would recommend:
1. Get someone to run the projector (this sounds smug, but it is no joke, this is easy if someone is running the system manually, even the audio fades -- we use teenagers sometimes.)
2. Get video editing software (I use Pinnacle Studio) and make a video, using images of screenshots of the non-motion screens you want; you can add the youtube clips or MP4 videos.. That allows you to add a sound track (multiple ones actually) with good control of the sound.

One more thought (though I have never tried this).
Try using a Screen Session Recorder of the DISPLAY screen while you run the show manually:
