Version 5.5 > Registry Error

I ran Sherlock - The Codec Detective on a machine which reported a codec error. It reported that the codec in question is Indeo R3.2 at C:\windows\system32\c:\windows\system32\ir32_32.dll (no, that is not my furum typing error). No wonder, obviously it isn't going to be able to locate it.

So I searched the registry for any entries that might look like that, but couldn't find any; the registry seems ok in that regard.

Where do you think Sherlock is coming up with that path?

Apparently from the Department of Redundancy Department.

Did you check for the DLL in c:\windows\system32\??

Yes, the dll file itself is in the system32 directory, but apparently something somewhere causes it to be referenced incorrectly.

I am sure windows wouldn't allow this, but have you tried a directory creation as a workaround? Just create the following subdirectories, and then copy the DLL to there.
C:\windows\system32\c:\windows\system32\
It will probably error out at the : character.
