The Wave Pool > SongSelect Issues?
Thanks ...
On a side note, I much prefer their new look. It's much friendlier to work with.
I had an issue last night with Great and Marvelous. It said something about the format. It might have been just that song, as it only had a chorus, a bridge, and a VAMP (whatever that is).

The previous version of SongSelect will remain available two weeks. It will not be available after February 6, 2006. To access the previous version of SongSelect, click this link: previous SongSelect. If you are using a projection software package that interfaces with SongSelect, we encourage you to test and confirm its compatibility. Please refer any projection software questions to your product vendor.
To make a smooth transition to the new SongSelect, please take a moment to read the following, then click the Launch SongSelect link above.
The procedures will be identical to the older version of SongSelect, EXCEPT for the lead sheets. There will no longer be any preview screens and no need for re-entering your password. You are free to review entire lead sheets, play the melody line, transpose, etc. The only thing that will count against your capacity is when you PRINT a unique lead sheet.
Your current capacity count will carry over to the new SongSelect. You'll be able to see the complete history activity for your account when you click the "History" tab in the top navigation. This will be different than the "Print History" list that will accumulate in your Music Player, which will only reflect the printouts that YOU make from YOUR new player.
The new SongSelect requires Macromedia Flash Player 8. Many systems will include this version automatically, but if you find that you need technical help, please visit their site at http://macromedia.com/software/flashplayer/
If you use Pop-Up Blocker software, you must have CCLI as an allowed site.
If the new SongSelect seems to have stopped working, check your task bar for the player window. It may have ended up "behind" another window.
Most technical issues are browser or Macromedia Flash Player related. Be sure to check out Macromedia's online information before calling CCLI Customer Service. If you're still having trouble and you'd like to call us, please let the CCLI Customer Service Representative know that you're working on the new SongSelect.

I hate sites that have pop ups.

The only problem I have with SSP and SongSelect (and it's an old problem) is that Audio samples will not play if I am accessing ccli via SSP. If I start a separate browser window and go directly to ccli, all the audio works fine.
Has anybody seen this or found a way around it?
Thanks,
Mark
To access CCLI I've seen one automatically open a separate browser window; it must seem more natural to him that way. Anyway, based on your problem description, I gave it a try from within ssp; I picked a song at random, clicked on audio, but got an immediate error on line 31 char 4 at url http://www.ccli.com/ccli_services/SongSelect06/top100.cfm?action=newSongs
Next I exited, opened up a separate browser, picked the same song, and sure enough, it worked. I guess that would be the work around.
Then I remembered the mention of future audio additions to ssp and wonder whether we should expect it to work before the audio feature has been implemented.
Just a thought...

Thanks!

I believe the logic that is behind the way it works now is that you are only allowed to DL so many CCLI songs in a given period, so you shouldn't be doing a whole lot at one time. You should only be DL songs on an as need basis.
This is of course only my interpitation.
