I am interested in this solution too. We have just upgraded to the July 2008 Edition from the April 2008 Edition and are experiencing the same problem with the video play back. I too have re-installed Song Show Plus to no avail.

It would be real good if you could call tech support and show them the problem.

All,
Does anyone still have a system in this condition?

We have tried to duplicate this but have been unable to do so, therefore it is very important that we look at a system that is in a failed state.

If you do have a system in this state please contact us right away.  You can either reply to this post and I will contact you directly or you can call support and you will be escalated right away.

Thank You in advance for your help.

Hello,

Since I was not able to find a solution to this problem on Sunday, I have reinstalled the previous version.  However, yesterday I received the following response:

At 09/29/2008 10:16 AM a message was posted to a thread you were tracking. RE: Video Errors by Kmicali

This is an error that some are getting after running the most recent update. You will need to uninstall SSP from your add/remove programs then you will need to delete the r-technics folder from the C:/Program Files/R-Technics. Then try reinstalling. This should solve your problem. What happened is for some reson the multimedia engine didn't properly relocate with the new update. If you are still having problems, or my directions aren't clear enough, feel free to contact technical support and they can help you.

I am not sure why this reply does not show here, but I plan to reinstall the update and try this solution on Thursday, prior to our mid week service.  If it does correct the problem I will post here.  If not, I can call support then.  If you wish to contact me directly, my e-mail address is sheliasgs@msn.com.

Thanks for your help!

All,

We have discovered the root cause of this issue and a KB has been posted with instructions to fix it at the link below:

TS080

This conflicting setting appears to be the result of running the nvidiaFix utility that was used to resolve a NVIDIA specific issue beginning in March 2007.

Thanks to all who assisted with this....

I'm have a video issue as well.  When I attempt to install a video program or video backgrounds,  I get a message the either R-Technic Multimedia Engine in not installed or corrupt.  It instructs to reinstall it.  When I go to tool, updates and select "all component" to view what can be downloaded, Multimedia Engine isn't on of the programs available.  I tried to reinstall SongShow Plus but it wouldn't download when I tried it.  Prior to downloading the latest version of SongShow, the video function was operation okay.  Can anyone give me guidance on what I need to do to restore my video capability.

I also have a problem with the DVD player.  It won't recognize my InterVideo WinDVD 4 as the video player.  This function worked prior to my downloading the previous beta update before the latest SongShow version was released.

Help!

Disregard my Video background issue.  The solution provided above solved the problem.  However, still having the DVD issue.
