We just upgraded to SSP8 and installed on new laptop. When using the DVD importer the video displays on the projector but does not appear on the laptop in the monitor display or any of the display windows on the laptop. This was not a problem with the earlier version.

This is the correct behavior in Version 8 and is documented in KB TS251.

In SSP 8.0, we changed the underlying technology so that SSP can now play encrypted DVD video on Windows Vista and later. A side effect of this change, however, is that the video is not accessible to be rendered in the display monitor.
