Version 8.0 > Audio Control Stepping not gradual enough

When I fade out the audio using the slider control, the "steps" are not gradual enough. I cannot get a nice gradual fade out especially on the last step to no sound. It would be nice if the steps were more gradual producing a smoother audio/volume decrease to no sound. Win 7, latest version of 8.0.
