Shift Worship is an excellent resource for an annual subscription fee. Well worth it, as far as I'm concerned.

Since subscribing to Shift Worship, I've kinda lost track of other, free, sources.

I usually start by having Google search for "images: babies" for example. I usually can find something
free. I have about 14,000 images gathered over the years, but that is "small potatoes" compared to
Joel's collection I think.

I do the same as Dick. I purchased a program in the past, but now I do a search on Google, "Images of the Resurrection", "Images of Worship", etc. and download some of the choices-there are usually hundreds or thousands to choose from-into my image files. I have found so many beautiful images. If I am looking for something in particular, I'll narrow the search, "Images of Young Children's Worship".

... but that is "small potatoes" compared to

Joel's collection I think.

That pile of junk I had in my images folder was mostly specific announcements and sermon slides that I create. Also hundreds of pictures from summer camps and mission trips that didn't need to be stored there.

For stock photos, I subscribed to http://stock.adobe.com That integrated will with Photoshop and was only $10/month for the first year, because I was coming from another service. I got 10 images per month, but it was more than I used. But after that first year, it went up to $30/month. this is still a good deal, if you need 10 images a month, but that's more than I want to spend and don't need 10 per month. But the selection there is top notch.

Since then, I got a deal for http://depositphotos.com/ from appsumo, $40 for 100 downloads. That deal is gone, but the selection there is almost as good as stock.adobe.

http://www.freeimages.com/ is a good free source, but the results pages always include pay options.

For bible stories, I really like http://www.freebibleimages.org/, it has series of pictures so you can tell the whole story.

That's what I've got in my toolbox.

https://www.creationswap.com/ is another resource out there, that is some free and some paid, specifically aimed at the church.
