The Wave Pool > Ripping from DVD's

I have been looking on a few other Forums that I frequent and have found a good program that we can all use (If you have the time and resources) to copy dvd's to movie files
It's called XMPEG
XMPEG is a open source (FREE
!!)converter built on MPEG1/MPEG2/AC3 high quality decoders.
What you can do is Transcode the full dvd into a AVI file which you can then Edit and fade out the Video and Sound as required or set start and end points in SSP.
It even has a option to crop out the black section of the screen.
Not sure how it would look stretched on a screen though?
I'm guessing that it may come in handy for all of us (Even us PAL people)
Hope this may be useful for you all
P.S sorry about my raving
