Version 7 > changing default font settings in SSB

I have forgotten how to change the default font and formatting for "regular text". I can change Title, Main Text, etc. to, say, Franklin Gothic in white with outline, but any "Regular Text" is yellow Verdana, with no outline.
I did this once, but don't remember the process.

What do you mean by "regular text"? Song lyrics and Scripture body fonts are set in Display Properties under Song Text and Scripture Text Property Groups, Lyrics or Content tab. A similar system is for Slide text, but I never use that for slides. I set the font when I build the slide show, by selecing the text and applying the font from the tool bar, or by right clicking and selecting Font. Don't forget the heirarchy: I think properties set directly on the song (Song; Edit) are highest, followed by properties set on the song item in the program, then the Properties Item in the program above the song, and, lowest priority, Global properties. So if a font is set directly in the song, I don't think there is any way to override that (except to remove that property from the song).

Regular Text is at the top of the list when you use the text tools in Slide Show Builder. I want to set the defaults on this to match other types of text we use. I should have mentioned that I was in SSB.

"Regular Text" is not a font, it is the style of the text entry. "Regular" as opposed to "title" , etc.
The default font that is used can be set by DISPLAY/SET DISPLAY PROPERTIES/SLIDE TEXT.

In SSB, I can define a font, size, color, etc. for Main Text, Title, Footer, Song Title, Lyric, Author, Copyright, Reference, Scripture Content, and Scripture Reference. I have these set up the way we would usually like them to appear. When I add a song lyric object to a slide, it uses the font and formatting I have set up previously. I can override this formatting at the slide level, the item level, the program level, or the global level, but mostly we use the defaults I have defined.
However, if I enter a "Regular Text" object, it has formatting which does not match the others. I can set it all manually at the slide level, but it cannot be controlled by a display property item at the program level. Being that this is the first choice on the list of options, people use it. I would like to define the default for this item. I did it once, but can't remember how.
Hope this explanation clarifies my problem.

I finally see what you're talking about and, yes, I can't change the "regular" text either, except manually. Mine comes up
light blue Verdana, but I don't know were it got set that way!
