Yes you can...
This can be viewed in the both the Media Control (for slides in the same song/show etc) and in the Program Panel using the Slide Preview option. The Media Control panels can also be set to auto scroll to keep the relevant items in view. From the Programs Panel select Show Details > Slide Preview. You can also adjust the Slide Preview Size.
FYI - This does not function in exactly the same way as the old preview but does get nearly the same result with far more flexibility than the old method.
