Version 7 > DVD Video Play

I am trying to play sections from a video from a DVD. I am using the DVD import but whenever I play it the video is extremely jumpy. The audio is fine but the video portion freezes and tehn jumps ahead. What am I doing wrong? I have 1G of RAM 3.2MHz processor and a Nvdia
geForce 6800 video card.
Thanks
Bruce

Make sure you are using WinDVD 4 or 6. If both PowerDVD and WinDVD are installed, uninstall them both, and then reinstall WinDVD.

Is WinDVD7 ok?

I don't believe so. IIRC, it is missing some codecs that SSP needs.

Actually, the latest update of WinDVD 7 seems to work fine with SSP.

Check to ensure no other DVD players are installed on the system.

Also remember that currently it's NTSC only for DVD playback on SSP.

I installed WinDVD7 and it works great now. Thanks for the info. I do have another DVD player installed on the computer. Should I uninstall that one or is it okay to leave it alone since everything seems to be work ok?
I remember someone saying that if you download the trial version of WinDVD and then uninstall it, SSP will still work. Is that true? I plan on buying WinDVD7, just wondering if that is true though.
Thanks for the help!

I'm on Redland Road near the Shady Grove Metro (Derwood Alliance Church) - where are you?

We are at Georgia Ave and Randolph Road in Silver Spring right now (Lutheran Church of St Andrew). We just sold our church to the Catholics and we are building a new church at Norwood and New Hampshire Ave. Ground Breaking Ceremony is this Sunday.
Since you are so close, I'd like to check out your service(s) sometime to see how you are using SSP. I have been using PPT and starting this Sept we'll start using SSP for our 11:00 Praise Service.

SSP will still work, but DVD support will not.I remember someone saying that if you download the trial version of WinDVD and then uninstall it, SSP will still work. Is that true?
