I guess I could load 8.4 and find this out, but will SSB go back to the 8.0 layout, that has everything in one spot? I really hate having to jump around to three or four tabs (and remember which has the option I want) to do something that used to be a single click.

I haven't noticed any additional functionality, so is there any real reason to have all those extra tabs?

Gary,

You can revert to the old layout at your convenience.

SSB > Settings > Preferences > Edit Window - Check the "Use Legacy Toolbar and restart.

This option has been available since it was initially changed.

There is additional functionality that is not available using the old layout, and more will come, which will just make the old layout even more cluttered.
