Photo Slides with Captions Builder

I previously mentioned that the Photo Slides Builder (previously called the Photo Show Builder) has been given some improvements for the April 2008 Edition. With this edition, we are also introducing a new builder called the Photo Slides with Captions builder. Whereas the former builder is designed simply to get a series of images into a slide show quickly, this new builder is designed to let you build a series of slides that contain images with captions. The following examples show a couple of slide shows that were built without the need to even use the Slide Show Builder.
Once the slide shows are built you can immediately display them, add them to a program, or customize them using the Slide Show Builder.

We were in Oregon last summer and went to Seaside a couple of times and that aquarium looked very familiar.
But the ability to put captions on the slides as the slideshow is created sounds like a good idea, also. (Desperate attempt to get back on topic.)

I'm curious. How will this feature be better than using PhotoStory 3 from Microsoft?

If you want to make a change in a Photo Slides slide show, you just go in with SSB and change it. I'm curious. How will this feature be better than using PhotoStory 3 from Microsoft?
With PhotoStory 3, you would need to bring the project back up, make the change and recreate the WMV file.
With Photo Slides you could also make a manually advancing slide show, which isn't possible with PhotoStory 3.
OTOH, with PhotoStory 3, you can put pan/zoom effect on each photo and make a much better looking presentation, IMHO.
But it's a WMV, not a slide show, so unless you hit the pause button, it keeps going, whether the presentor is done with a picture or not.

If Photo Slides has the same or better pan and zoom I might be able to use it exclusively. SSP should have better captioning as Photo Story's captions move with the picture. In the past tf there were just a few slides I would use SSB if there were a lot (100+ slides) I have used PhotoStory mostly because the slide import function and pan and zoom.

SSP would really have to crank up their Pan/Zoom functionality to get it on par with what's available in PhotoStory.
And Photo Slides would have to put slides in the background with Pan/Zoom, rather than as a foreground object.
