Feature Review: Video Sequence Builder

7/18/2022

The Video Sequence Builder is a new slides builder introduced in the July 2008 Edition. This builder lets you easily combine videos and images into a single slide show. If your church uses a mix of videos and image slides for announcements this builder is for you.

Below is a screen shot of the builder that includes three image slides built in PhotoShop, and two videos built in Final Cut Pro:

As you can see, you also have options to specify margins, transition, timing (for static images), and what to do upon completion of the slide show (stop or loop). The timing for slides containing video are automatically set to match the length of the video clip.

Although the Video Sequence Builder is similar to the Video Chain feature, it is different in a number of ways:

  1. The file built is a slide show, not a video, so you have more control over further modifications if you wish.
  2. You can specify transitions between videos.
  3. You can include static images along with videos.

(The slide examples in the blog were provided to us by Capital Christian Center.)
