Feaure Review: SongShow Plus Control iPad App

Earlier this month we released the first mobile app for SongShow Plus, SongShow Plus Control for the iPad. Last March we released a browser-based apps for mobile control devices. The iPad app takes this feature a few steps forward.
The app provides access to Current Program, Songs, Stage Monitor, Background Improv, Color Improv, and access to all other media items. Each of these functions is available through a tabbed interface (something that didn't exist in the 4.x version of iPad). It also provides an integrated tool panel that remains fixed at the top of the screen, something not available int he browser version of the app. The tool panel provides the typical remote control functions for stepping forward and back, play, pause of media items, mute screen, clear screen, etc. Another feature of the app is that it will automatically identify your SongShow Plus machines on the network, which is better than hunting around for, then typing in the, the IP address which is what you have to do with the browser app.
