Feature Review: Media Uploader App

We recently published two apps designed to help you transfer media content from your mobile device to a SongShow Plus machine. These are the Media Uploader apps available for both iOS and Android. Let's say that you've taken some pictures at a church event and want to upload them for a slide show. Previously, you would typically have connected the device to the SongShow Plus machine through a USB cable, then used on of the import utilities. With the Media Uploader app, you can now connect to the SongShow Plus machine through your local network and upload the media files wirelessly!

The app lets you select and upload multiple files at once. If a file by the same name already exists, the existing file is renamed with a "- backup" added to the end of the file name. When files are uploaded, a new subfolder is created called Upload and within that folder, another subfolder is created using the name of your device. This is where your files will be automatically uploaded to. So if you've uploaded some video files, look in the Videos database panel for the Upload folder.

The Media Uploader app supports image, and video, files.

These apps require the May 2012 Edition, Professional License with the SongShow Plus HTTP feature enabled.
