Request for testers: Alpha channel output for video switchers

4/18/2008
Over the last several months, R-Technics has developed and has been testing a new technology that lets an SSP projection machine output an independent alpha channel to a video switcher capable of handling both a color and alpha channel input. This provides a considerable improvement in placing text over video because you no longer need to rely on chroma or luma keying. With this technology, the quality of transparency, font smoothing, and soft shadows is significantly improved.

We would like to extend our customer testing beyond the few churches who have been our early testers. You will need to have a video switcher that can accept an alpha channel input as well as a Black Magic DeckLink Pro SD card, which is the video hardware SSP uses for this technology. If you would like to have your church participate in the next round of beta and validation testing, please contact us.
