How do I create a SongShow Plus Evaluation license for a new machine?

This article applies to all SongShow Plus 9.x versions.
Thank You for your interest in SongShow Plus!
If your organization wants to evaluate SongShow Plus, an evaluation license will be required.
NOTE: Activation and license Managment requires an active internet connection. If you do not have this, contact the Support Team for Offline activation.
There are 4 types of licenses available for SongShow Plus:
- Evaluation License
- Site License
- Projection License
- Workstation License
This article is regarding an Evaluation license. If you need a different type of license, refer to KB FAQ050
NOTE: The following processes assume:
- That you or your organization do not have a SongShow Plus account or license.
- The machine you are activating has never had SongShow Plus activated on it before.
If either of these conditions are true, you should be able to use the existing account/license to activate the installation.
You will need the following to successfully create a SongShow Plus Evaluation license:
- Local system administrator rights (to apply the license) for the machine you are activating.
- Contact information for your organization for your evaluation request.
To create a SongShow Plus Evaluation license do the following:
- Download the latest available build from the Download page to your machine.
- Run the installation and follow the steps provided.
- Once SongShow Plus is installed, a desktop shortcut will appear. Double-click that link to launch SongShow Plus.
- A message indicating activation is needed should be presented. Click OK to proceed.
- Select the option to activate in Evaluation mode and click Next.
- Enter your organization's contact information verifying in particular that the email address is correct and click Next.
- You should be prompted that an evaluation license was sent. Check your email. If you do not see it check your spam folder as well.
- Follow the instructions in the email, copying the attached file to the machine SongShow Plus was installed on.
- Depending on the order that the file was copied and SSP was started, you may be prompted to update or it may update automatically.
- Allow elevated prompts to install the license file to complete the activation.
Congratulations, SongShow Plus is now activated for Evaluation.
