How do I manage my SongShow Plus version 9 licenses?

From time to time you may need to manage the SongShow Plus licenses that you have. 

NOTE: Activation and license Managment requires an active internet connection.  If you do not have this, contact the Support Team for Offline activation.

There are 5 operations available to users for SongShow Plus license management:

  • Activate License - This operation is for activation or reactivation of either Projection or Workstation licenses for a specific machine.  This assumes that you have or can create a new license for the designated machine.  For more information on this, refer to KB FAQ42
  • Deactivate License - This operation is for deactivation of either Projection or Workstation licenses for a specific machine.  This is usually done prior to the decommissioning of the designated machine.  For more information on this, refer to KB FAQ56
  • Switch License - This operation is used for moving or swapping either Projection or Workstation licenses between two machines.  This assumes that you have more than one activated machine.  For more information on this, refer to KB FAQ044
  • Convert to Projection  - This operation is for changing a Workstation license to a Projection license for a specific machine.  This assumes that you have or can create a new Projection license for the designated machine.  For more information on this, refer to KB FAQ57
  • Recover License  - This operation is for reusing and or recovering either Projection or Workstation licenses for use on a new or existing machine.  This assumes that you have unused or abandoned licenses on your account. This usually happens when a machine becomes inoperable unexpectedly and a proper deactivation is not possible. For more information on this, refer to KB FAQ58

You will need the following to successfully manage your SongShow Plus licenses:

  • Your organization's Customer Account ID and password (to find or acquire the license).  If you need help finding this, refer to FAQ010.
  • Local system administrator rights (to apply the license) for the machine you are activating.
  • Credit Card information if purchase of additional licenses or plug-ins is desired.
