Using Mobile Control (PWA) on devices - QR Code

This article applies to SongShow Plus 9.2 and Later using SongShow Mobile Control (PWA).

The mobile control feature for SongShow Plus has been reworked for version 9.2 and, fundamentally, it’s a significant change. The two previous iterations of the mobile control apps were deployed as native apps. In the first iteration, the apps were built using dev tools native to each platform (iOS and Android). For the second iteration, a cross-platform tool was used to build the apps deployed to iOS, Android, and Windows. For the third iteration, we are now using Progressive Web App technology.

One can initially experiment and get familiar with the PWA Mobile Control on a desktop browser, but of course the purpose of Mobile Control is to be - mobile.

Using your phone or tablet camera, scan the QR Code below to go to the SongShow Plus Mobile control page.

Once you are on the SongShow Plus website on your mobile device you can sign in with the same credentials as you would on a desktop browser.

From there you can select the Mobile Control tab on the site. Review the instructions on that page though at this point you will have most likely register your machine(s) already.  If you have a list of machines already populated, simply select the one you want to control.

Depending on the type of device you are using, you should also be able to save/add an icon link to your device for later use.
