Margins are an important part of the SongShow Plus landscape and set the ground work for all presented content in SongShow Plus. There are several types of margins - Background Margins, Media Margins and Slide Margins. These can all be set and effected in several ways.
The focus of this article will be the margin indicators in the Slide Builder and specifically the color coding of them. These can help a slide show designer effectively set margins for slide content and possibly avoid some duplication. The margin indicators are found at the outer edges of a slide in the slide editor, appearing as colored tick marks or in the case of a zero margin setting, the tick marks will be accompanied by a solid line around the perimeter of the slide. None of these are seen when presented as they are only editing tools.
- Yellow Markers - This indicates that these margin settings are pulled from the default settings in SongShow Plus. This happens when there are no Themes or Margin settings at all in the slide show (Slide Builder) itself. This setting is pulled from the global All Media margin setting for the primary display. These can be restored with the Use Defaults setting.
- Cyan Markers - This indicates that these margin settings are applied from the selected Theme in Slide Builder. This can be applied to one, several or all slides depending on what is selected. There can be multiple themes but all will show the same color when selected, but the designated settings will be applied.
- Green Markers - This indicates that these margin settings are applied from the specific slide margin settings in Slide Builder. This happens when Margin settings are made to an individual slide itself. This can be done from the Slide properties (right-click a slide), the Slide Tools tab or by manually selecting and dragging the margin markers of a slide.
