Remote access to SongShow Plus using 3rd party software - possible errors

In addition to the information noted in other articles, we make the following general recommendations regarding remotely accessing or controlling SongShow Plus with 3rd party remote access software:

We are aware there are quite a number of 3rd party tools for running/operating your machines remotely. Software such as Microsoft RDP, TeamViewer, RemotePC. AnyDesk, LogMeIn and many others can allow you to access your machines from offsite and can be used for many purposes. 

We are also aware that there are errors that may be encountered when running/operating SSP remotely.  That mode of operation is not supported.  

There are several aspects of SongShow Plus that are graphics specific. Not all remote ?access tools support this, causing errors.  While it may be possible to do many functions remotely it is not recommended for normal operations of SongShow Plus. 

If you are attempting to build content for/in SongShow Plus remotely, we recommend that you instead install a free Workstation on your local machine, build your desired content and then transport that to the target projection machine.  There are many ways to do this - the Package To Go process is the most commonly used tool.

Following these guidelines for your SongShow Plus system should contribute to trouble-free use.
