Applicable SongShow Plus Versions:
This article applies to all versions of SongShow Plus

 * Updates correcting this issue may be available. Ensure that you are using the most current build of SongShow Plus from the Download page before proceeding. *

Symptom:
When attempting to setup or use SongShow Plus using the DeckLink Plug-in, the output displays are not working as expected - they either flicker or will not display the entire content. (318/319/320)

Possible Cause:
Specific cause is unknown at this time - under investigation. It does appear that some of the settings related to resolution and frame rate in the back-end were mixed up and are causing odd behavior when set the hidden display as directed.

Possible Solution:
At this time the workaround available is to set the Output Window setting options for Display Device - hidden display in a contrary manner.  It appears that when alternate, seemingly unrelated settings are used, SSP behaves as expected. There are settings for 3 different resolutions:

For the NTSC/SD resolution setting:

  • Normally, the Display Device selection for NTSC/SD (Also referred to as 480i) would be the 720x480 hidden display.
  • To correct the bad behavior, the Display Device selection for NTSC/SD (Also referred to as 480i) should be the 720x586 hidden display.

For the HDTV/720p resolution settings:

  • Normally, the Display Device selection for HDTV/720p would be the 1280x720 hidden display.
  • To correct the bad behavior, the Display Device selection for HDTV/720p should be the 1920x1080 hidden display.

For the HDTV/1080 resolution settings:

  • Normally, the Display Device selection for HDTV/1080 would be the 1920x1080 hidden display.
  • To correct the bad behavior, the Display Device selection for HDTV/1080 should be the 1280x720 hidden display.
