SSP/SSB not responding / hangs / hang / freezes / freeze - Random Transition use is problematic

Symptom:
When presenting a slideshow or other program content the application will not responding / hangs / hang / freezes / freeze just as the content is triggered.  This may appear to occur randomly and can be difficult to replicate. (1738)

Possible Cause:
In this context, this is most likely caused by the use of the Random Transition setting in slide properties or SSB themes.  While most options may work, some transitions included are not supported by all hardware.

Possible Solution:
Verify that the option for Random Transition is NOT selected in any Slide Properties or themes.  This could be found in the global Slide Properties or any other area/location that Slide Properties can be set.

Slide Properties > All Media > Transition > Selection - Ensure this is NOT set to Random Transition.

It is possible that this transition is applied in the Program or to objects in the Program.  This can be applied to slides shows as part of a theme.  Check all locations related to the offending setting.
