Activation Error - Unable to install License - unable to remove or update registry key

Symptom:
When activating SongShow Plus there is an error message that indicates SSP was Unable to install License - Unable to remove or update registry key error.

Possible Cause:
Generally, this is an indication of a permissions error.  SongShow Plus needs to edit the registry during activation and will fail if this does not work. This can be caused by using a Limited Rights user account, restrictions by your Domain admin or other Windows related permissions restrictions including setting of Compatibility Mode.

Possible Solution:
If there is no prompt for elevation for activation, you may be using a limited permissions user account and need to talk to your systems admin for permission.

If there is a prompt for elevation for activation but you do not have the credentials, you need to talk to your systems admin for permission.

Possible Solution:
It is possible that during or after the installation, the link used to launch SongShow Plus was modified to run in Compatibility Mode.  To check this, do the following:

• Close any open SSP windows.
• Locate the desktop or taskbar icon used to launch SSP.
• Right-click the icon and select Properties.
• Select the Compatibility tab and locate the Compatibility Mode section.
• Ensure that this checkbox is NOT checked.  If it is, uncheck, apply and close.
• Retry the activation process.
