Using video files as a fill for text

3/1/2008  < Previous  Next >

A few months ago, I described a new feature of the October 2007 Edition, video fills. In that blog entry I provided a screen shot. Here is now a video example of using a video file as a fill for a text object. This example uses two video files from Digital Hotcakes. The background is a ripple and the video used for the text fill is called Fire Spin.

I actually have used this. I even used the Flame animation for the text of Light the Fire for our TCBS night.

I wish I had a video capture utility, so I could show you what I did for my Daylight Savings Time slide.

Pretty cool stuff.

Where is this interface in SSP? I want to use video as a fill in a slide show and cannot find this as an option. I have the latest updates to the software.

Right click on the text option and select properties. In the properties box, look for the "Fill" tab.

Let us know if you need more specifics. I'm away from my SSP machine right now.
